Our Story

I have always been creative and as a child I would always be making and creating all sorts of things. After studying Fine Art at A-Level I went on to study Visual Arts at University, where my exposure to different forms of Art and my own Artistic journey truly developed. After many years of travel and a very successful and busy corporate career, I had my son, the World had a Pandemic and I started a Creative Events business. Just like that.
Having spent five years developing the business and reconnecting with my creativity and finding the joy in artistic direction again, I can look back and recognize how important it was that I had an artistic outlet as a child and how important it is that I have found that again as an adult.
I feel that I am now at a point where I truly what to revisit my personal practice and encourage those students at the start of their journeys, so that they understand from a very young age the importance of having a creative outlet, developing their own artistic expression, and the vital life tools that practice will provide them with.

Some of my fondest times at university were during my Art classes, when I was completely immersed in a project, passionate and focused on my journey. I felt like I had opened my world and was exposing my senses to far greater experiences then I ever had done before, and a big part of that was through the encouragement and revelations I gained from group sessions with my tutors and peers.
The ability to try new techniques and forms of expression in a safe, experimental environment enabled me to process emotions, learn things about myself, the people around me and what I wanted to do and move forward with. I believe all children should experience this encouragement, whatever their ages, and that aside from the healing powers of artistic practice there are some significant life skills to be learnt.

The aim of these courses is to compliment your child’s artistic journey within their school curriculum and help them to identify what they like and don’t like and what they’re truly capable of, hopefully helping them to grow as a person, as well as support their school development. At the end of each course your child will come away with a body of work that will enable them to start to build a portfolio of work that will visually document their progress as a developing artist and young adult.
